look at santa rosa. you know you are going to get problems when the wind are gusting over 40 miles an hour. we have branches down with our last couple of systems. the front is on the move. take a look at the east bay from concord, alamo, 580 and 880 and 680, meraga more heavy rain. back westward it's not as heavy but you have the gusty winds and it will pick up the next hour. union city, the dumbarton bridge, very wet weather and gusty winds down through the south bay. campbell and the santa cruz mountains, it will take until about 1:00. then we are looking at the rivers and streams rising here as well. here's a look at a loop. you will notice that even though the front begins to push slowly southward, we are still looking at the heavy rain really locked up into the north bay. within the next couple hours it continues to sink south. temperatures are mild in the 60s with the gusty south winds. we have the flood warning for napa and sonoma counties. that means flooding is happening right now. the flood wat

some of the rain totals -- santa rosa, so far, almost 13.50. average is 7.43. san francisco, now remember this number, 7.92. that's what's going down in the books. 9.9 -- 7.92. i don't know what's going on in san jose, 3.91. everybody's over but you can find double -- almost triple the amounts in san jose. this is from mike who keeps awesome records in san francisco. i believe him 101%. sunday, 1.36. it's the hardest he's seen it rain. five-day total was 4.59. his seasonal total is 9.42. almost an inch and a half more than what's going down in the books. you can see the discrepancies sometimes in areas that are not that far apart. some people -- i think i would lean on the heavier totals. today is a dry monday. thank goodness we have some fog returning. rain returns to the north bay on thursday. this system is not as long as the last three. but it will still give us maybe .25 to maybe 1.50. could be 2 the farther north you go. the system out here is tapping into more warm air. we have a good 15, 20 degrees colder. napa, 37, 41 narefield. concord -- fairfield. c

santa rosa, 53. we've got a few light showers offshore. a couple very light showers moving through sonoma and also through the peninsula. then we'll see the slightest chance of a shower north of the golden gate overnight tonight. overnight lows, upper 40s. 48 for fremont, oakland at 51. san francisco at 53. two differences between this storm and the previous three. first off, the atmosphere is not as juicy. the tropical moisture is not there. yes, a front, but not a front producing heavy rainfall. the second change, we have an area of high pressure building to the south, taking the storm track and shoving it just far enough to the north that any moderate to heavy rainfall that does fall will fall not over the bay area, but instead about three to four hours to the north. so the storm check has been bumped up to the north. yes we're going to have a front and a rainfall beginning tomorrow evening. but no, no flooding will be involved. heavy rainfall will stay away from the bay area. so showers are back tomorrow afternoon. on and off rain show
